When you make bookings via online booking sites, hotels need to pay a commission between 10 – 25 % of the total booking value. By booking directly with us, we save on such commissions/fees and you get rates that are 10 – 25% cheaper than anywhere else online
When the reservation relationship is between the guest and us only, it’s clean and easy because there are only two parties involved: Our Guest and Ventura Santa Teresa. When a third party (booking site) gets involved is when things can get complicated.
For example, sometimes reservations are not actually processed, and the site and the hotel can pass the blame back and forth. This can potentially leave you with the wrong room or without a room at all, and there’s little hope for recourse.
When you book directly, we will often be more willing and able to help should you need to change your dates or even cancel, because we are not bound by some third-party deal. Reserving a hotel room through a third-party site can essentially create and lock in a contract for a stay, which can limit wiggle room for the guest and hotel staff.
This also means that if you book directly, the hotel can do more to compensate a guest.
Want to amend or change your booking? There would be occasions when you want to prepone or postpone your stay, but if you have made your booking via a 3rd party online booking site then we might not allow you to do this and will simply ask you to make such changes directly from those booking sites. In some cases, you might have to pay a higher rate for the new date from a 3rd party (not us).
But if you have booked directly with us then we would be happy to make such amendments as per availability and most importantly without any additional charges, hassles, difficulties, or conditions.
In case if you have to cancel your reservation and you are not falling into the free cancellation period then the online booking sites won’t allow you for free cancellation as they have a strict cancellation policy.
On the other hand, if you have booked directly with us then for genuine reasons we waive cancellation fees.
